Position Overview

The role of the Commercial Water Systems Technician is essential for the efficient installation and upkeep of commercial water treatment solutions for our clients at Franklin Electric.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and regulatory standards as outlined in the Franklin Electric Quality System.
  • Execute detailed service protocols and procedures.
  • Fulfill daily service assignments as scheduled.
  • Utilize available components to construct various water treatment systems or kits in accordance with operational guidelines.
  • Safely operate the designated service vehicle.
  • Communicate any issues regarding quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized service vehicle, ensuring it is stocked with the necessary tools and components.
  • Perform additional tasks as required or directed.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret documents such as policy manuals, safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members, particularly regarding water softening and treatment processes.
  • Proficient in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools.
  • Capable of identifying and resolving basic plumbing issues and repairs.
  • Utilizes common sense and understanding to execute written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Delivers precise work consistently, adhering to exact tolerances and standards.
  • Possesses interpersonal skills conducive to teamwork.
  • Demonstrates adaptability in a dynamic work environment, managing a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and in potentially hazardous situations.
  • Completes moderately repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Maintains organization and order of materials within the warehouse.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Plumbing License.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a plumbing-related role (preferred).

Computer Skills:
  • Basic proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is:

  • Continuously required to use hands for handling, reaching, and communication.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move over 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
