Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures.
  • Preparing the surgical environment with sterile drapes, solutions, and necessary instruments.
  • Providing requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during operations.
  • Assisting in the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients.
  • Maintaining an organized system for instruments and tracking counts throughout procedures.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer. Accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required prior to hire or transfer. Non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience or meet specific training criteria.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
