Financial Operations Manager

Position Overview: Financial Operations Manager

Urgency: Immediate requirement

Location: Atlanta, GA

Compensation: Up to $110k, plus a 10% bonus and exceptional benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to meet established deadlines and client service standards.
  • Lead, coordinate, and evaluate the work performed by accounting personnel and other departments, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and ad-hoc analyses prepared for client stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary contact for all internal and external audit inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operational Accounting to ensure alignment between the operational accounting team and general ledger accountants, providing business insights for operational enhancements.
  • Drive process optimization by identifying and developing more efficient procedures and resource utilization while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Supervise, recruit, train, provide feedback, mentor, and develop team members, fostering personnel growth to ensure cross-training, continuity planning, and advancement opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in personnel management.
  • Proficiency with General Ledger systems (e.g., Great Plains, SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in SQL, effective for data analysis.
  • Experience with Blackline or similar close management tools.
  • Strong analytical abilities and comprehension of US GAAP.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills essential for success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in public accounting or internal auditing is required.
