Employment Type: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Position Overview

The CNC Router Operator role requires a minimum of three years of experience in the setup, programming, and operation of router machinery. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively. The materials to be processed include various types of aluminum, polycarbonate, and High-Pressure Laminate. This position will report directly to the Shop Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings to establish dimensional criteria, tolerances, and geometric specifications
  • Perform setups and tool pathing for router operations
  • CNC machining of components on MultiCam Router
  • Identify required tooling and equipment for assigned tasks
  • Maintain tooling and conduct preventative maintenance on machinery as necessary
  • Operate tow motors and overhead cranes as required
  • Assist in ensuring the highest quality standards for products manufactured by Industrial Profile Systems
  • Carry out additional job duties and related functions as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of CNC router machining experience is required
  • Familiarity with Enroute routing software is a plus
  • Advanced skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Proficient in basic mathematics for measurement and calculations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
  • Well-organized with a keen attention to detail and precision machining
  • Proficient in PC skills within a Windows environment
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs independently, and up to 75 lbs with assistance
  • Regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly-related tasks
