Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Residential Services, Inc. in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area.
About the Job:
You will be working closely with adults with IDD in a group home environment, ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily tasks such as personal care, hygiene, and administering medication.
Duties:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and address any medical or behavioral needs that occur during the day, following established guidelines.
- Create a positive and empowering environment by encouraging residents to engage in social, recreational, and skill-building activities.
- Keep accurate and timely records of observations, incidents, and actions.
- Work closely with case managers, healthcare professionals, and families to provide well-rounded care.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving role is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- The ability to stay calm, compassionate, and patient in difficult situations.
- A basic understanding of healthcare practices, with a willingness to learn more.
Annual Salary: $50,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
