Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Lab Scientist to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a Medical Lab Scientist - Core Lab, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all laboratory testing, including the pre-examination phase, in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation guidelines to support the delivery of patient care.
  • Conduct and document established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluate the results of quality control testing and implement corrective action according to established protocols to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree/Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
  • Experience with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting through education or work experience.
  • Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in laboratory testing.
