Your Role

The Solutions Architect will report directly to the Director of Cloud Architecture, collaborating with senior leadership to design and implement new solutions that address business challenges, enhance customer service, and leverage emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Cloud Architecture to define and steer the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and a forward-thinking approach.
• Lead the conceptualization and execution of technology initiatives, providing strategic insights to ensure alignment with the company’s long-term vision.
• Oversee the architecture lifecycle, from initial concept to design completion, ensuring decisions align with iSeatz's strategic goals, particularly regarding future scalability and adaptability.
• Develop and refine processes for ongoing architecture updates, ensuring it remains accurate and responsive throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify and advocate for promising research and technology areas that meet unmet needs, focusing on their potential for future solutions and contributing to the company's innovation strategy.
• Collaborate with technical teams to transition designs into operational status.
• Play a leadership role in Architectural Review Board meetings, guiding discussions towards strategic objectives and ensuring alignment with company-wide technology initiatives.
• Lead the development of cost models, assessing the impact of innovations on service offerings and aligning architectural decisions with cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Govern architectural solutions, analyzing the impact of innovative approaches on existing services and proposing adjustments to enhance efficiency.
• Evaluate architectural design progress and adjust project direction as necessary.
• Foster collaboration with technical teams, Customer Success Team, and clients by addressing concerns and needs, conducting research to propose efficient and maintainable solutions.
• Monitor the technology landscape for new or evolving solutions that can enhance our product offerings.
• Ensure effective roadmaps for new solutions align with the company's strategic vision and avoid stranded investments.

Qualifications

• Over ten years of professional experience in leading IT architecture solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of major AWS technologies, including S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Experience with serverless technology deployment and architecture.
• Familiarity with ECS, EKS/Kubernetes, and related deployment services.
• Proficient in CDK/CloudFormation.
• Strong programming skills in various languages, including Ruby, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript; functional development experience is a plus.
• Good understanding of React and related technical stacks for single-page application development.
• Expertise in REST API design.
• Experience in asynchronous and event-driven architecture design and deployment.
• Knowledge of messaging systems and their use cases.
• Comprehensive understanding of the development lifecycle, focusing on developer productivity and satisfaction.
• Experience with SQL and RDBMS technologies.
• Familiarity with major authentication and authorization technology stacks (OAuth2, SAML, OpenID).
• Experience in designing and implementing SSO solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience in the travel technology and loyalty sectors.
• Experience with AWS CI/CD technologies.
• Experience in designing ETL solutions.
• Experience in large-scale database migration strategies and implementations.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or Snowflake.
• Experience with legacy integrations (SOAP v1/v2, XML over HTTP).
• DynamoDB data modeling experience.
