Role Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect will report directly to the Director of Cloud Architecture, collaborating with senior leadership to design and implement new solutions that address business challenges, enhance customer service, and leverage emerging technologies.

In this capacity, you will oversee the technology integration process, focusing on identifying and executing innovative solutions that align with the strategic objectives of iSeatz and its partners.

Your Contributions

• Work closely with the Director of Cloud Architecture to define and steer the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and a forward-thinking approach.
• Lead the conception and execution of both new and existing technology initiatives, providing strategic insights to ensure alignment with the company's long-term vision.
• Manage the architecture lifecycle, from initial concept through design completion, ensuring that architectural decisions support iSeatz's strategic goals, particularly regarding future scalability and adaptability.
• Establish and refine processes for the ongoing evolution of the architecture, ensuring it remains accurate and responsive to changes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify and advocate for promising research and technology areas that meet unmet needs, focusing on their potential for future solutions and contributions to the company's innovation strategy.
• Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate the transition of designs into operational status.
• Play a key role in Architectural Review Board planning and discussions, guiding conversations towards strategic objectives and ensuring alignment with company-wide technology initiatives.
• Lead the development of proposed cost models, assessing the impact of innovations on existing and potential service offerings while aligning architectural decisions with cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Govern architectural solutions, analyzing the impact of innovative approaches on current service offerings and recommending adjustments to enhance overall efficiency.
• Evaluate the progress of architectural designs and adjust the pace or direction of new projects as necessary.
• Encourage collaboration with other technical teams, the Customer Success Team, and clients by actively listening to their concerns and needs, followed by research to propose more cost-effective and maintainable solutions.
• Monitor the technology landscape for new or evolving solutions that can enhance our product offerings.
• Ensure effective roadmaps for new solutions that align with the company's strategic vision and avoid stranded investments.

Qualifications

• Over ten years of professional experience in leading IT architecture solutions.
• In-depth understanding and expertise in major AWS technologies, including S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Experience with serverless technology deployment and architecture.
• Familiarity with ECS, EKS/Kubernetes, and related deployment services.
• Proficient in CDK/CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge and experience in delivering software across various programming languages, including Ruby, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Functional development experience is a plus, with languages such as Rust and Elixir.
• Good understanding of React and related technical stacks for single-page application development.
• Expertise in REST API design.
• Experience in asynchronous and event-driven architecture design and deployment.
• Proficient in messaging systems and their use cases.
• Excellent understanding of the development lifecycle, focusing on developer productivity and satisfaction in solution design.
• Experience with SQL and RDBMS technologies.
• Knowledge of major authentication and authorization technology stacks (OAuth2, SAML, OpenID) and their appropriate applications.
• Experience in designing and implementing SSO solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience in the travel technology and loyalty sectors.
• Experience with AWS CI/CD technologies.
• Experience in designing ETL solutions.
• Experience in large-scale database migration strategies and implementations.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or Snowflake.
• Experience with legacy integrations (SOAP v1/v2, XML over HTTP, etc.).
• DynamoDB data modeling experience.
