Job Title:
Pipefitter - Mechanical - Caribbean Position

Job Summary:
Perpetual Labor Sourcing is seeking an experienced mechanical pipefitter to join our team in the Caribbean. As a pipefitter, you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and sprinkling in mechanical construction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, and tools.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, cementing, soldering, pressing, and threading joints.
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
• Measure and mark pipes for proper installation.
• Lay out of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following plans, details, and specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications and details.

Requirements:
• Must be able to live and work in the Caribbean.
• Must be able to use an Oxygen and Acetylene Torch to cut steel pipe.
• Must always put SAFETY FIRST.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to perform multiple tasks safely and with quality.
• Must be able to work inside and outside.
• Must be able to work at various heights above the floor with a ladder, scaffold, and man-lift when required.
• Must be able to work in excavated trenches.
• Must own all hand tools needed to perform as a pipefitter as described in the tool list.
• Must have knowledge of the piping system being installed (chilled water, heated water, steam, condensate, etc.).
• Must understand construction terms.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
