Position Overview:

As a Culinary Support Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, and handling cashier responsibilities. You will ensure prompt service while complying with health and safety standards under direct supervision as an entry-level contributor.

Key Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities are typical for this role. The absence of specific duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar or related. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.Prepare and serve healthy meals, including breakfast, lunch, and after-school snacks, ensuring that the dietary requirements of students and staff are met. Manage cashier responsibilities by processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and reconciling payments received with sales. Maintain a clean kitchen by sanitizing work areas and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Implement meal management strategies to effectively plan and prepare meals in collaboration with supervisors. Oversee inventory management by receiving supplies, stocking items, conducting monthly inventory checks, and monitoring food temperatures for safety compliance. Work collaboratively with team members to efficiently perform various kitchen functions. Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding lunch accounts. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma with 0 - 3 years of relevant experience required. Prior experience in institutional food service is preferred.
