Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Drilling Operations Assistant to join our team at TranSystems. As a key member of our drilling operations team, you will be responsible for assisting our drillers in performing geotechnical drilling operations in diverse subsurface conditions and terrain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Driller to perform geotechnical drilling operations
  • Assist the team in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of vehicles and drilling equipment
  • Load and transport drilling equipment and materials to and from project sites
  • Meet production requirements and utilization goals
  • Communicate with project managers, drillers, inspectors, clients, and supervisors as required
  • Responsible for routine maintenance, repair, and general condition of the drill rigs and other equipment
  • Consistent promotion and adherence to safe work practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment and compliance with site safety plans
  • Operation of DOT regulated vehicles and all responsibilities as required to stay in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, including record keeping and equipment inspections
  • Travel is required, including occasional weekends and extended periods

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid PA Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform high-quality work in an efficient and productive manner
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently outdoors in all types of weather
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively and safely
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency working with hand/power tools and associated mechanical skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • CDL License a plus
