Cardio-Respiratory Care Specialist

Overview:
Accountable for the assessment, treatment, and management of individuals with impairments and/or irregularities of the respiratory system.
Serves as a clinical expert in various aspects of patient care and actively enhances the overall quality of healthcare delivery.
- Conducts evaluations of patients and formulates their respiratory care plans.
- Administers therapies and medications as directed by the physician.
- Exhibits proficiency in all facets of both invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support.
- Displays expertise in all areas of the Blood Gas Laboratory.
- Educates and reinforces knowledge regarding disease processes, treatment options, and wellness to patients, families, and the broader community.
- Sets up, operates, and maintains medical gas and airway humidification equipment.
- Demonstrates the capability to interact with various computer information management systems for documenting patient care activities.
NOTE:
The consistency of the above responsibilities may vary significantly. The role requires flexibility to adapt to the daily demands of service provision.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Care with an Associate's Degree.
Certifications/Licensure:
Registered as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care or Certified Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
BLS certification required.
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care.
