Maintenance Engineer II

Duluth Public Schools ISD709 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a low-pressure heating system and a natatorium, as well as performing mechanical installations, repairs, and custodial work.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers, pumps, and various heating and ventilation equipment
Perform mechanical installations, repairs, and custodial work
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of relevant experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance and repair
Class 2-C Boilers License in the State of Minnesota
Certified Pool Operator License
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of operation, maintenance, and repair of low-pressure boilers, pumps, and various heating and ventilation equipment
Knowledge of operation, maintenance, and repair of natatorium systems
Knowledge of lawn and turf care materials and techniques
Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance techniques
Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and safe working practices
