Restaurant Construction Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of high-end restaurants from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex construction sites, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met and maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the high standards expected in high-end restaurant construction.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating the activities of various trades to ensure timely completion.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
  • Budget Oversight: Assist in managing project budgets by tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise on-site, including conflicts between trades, material shortages, or delays.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically in high-end restaurant or hospitality construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and codes relevant to restaurant construction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in construction management software and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED) are a plus.
