Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret geotechnical, geological, and geophysical data to assess site conditions for seismic evaluations;

• Conduct equivalent linear and nonlinear site response, seismic slope stability, and deformation analyses;

• Compile and assess historical seismicity data, seismic source models, and ground motion models for hazard evaluations;

• Generate ground motion time histories utilizing scaling and spectral matching techniques;

• Execute liquefaction triggering analyses, evaluate potential impacts, and devise design mitigation strategies;

• Explore and implement innovative models and methodologies for seismic hazard assessments and geotechnical evaluations;

• Prepare comprehensive calculation packages and reports detailing methodologies, inputs, analyses, and outcomes of seismic assessments;

• Deliver presentations and engage in technical discussions with team members and clients;

• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and inspections to support seismic instrumentation and earthquake engineering projects.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, earth sciences, or a related discipline (required);

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred);

• Previous internship or work experience in engineering consulting (preferred);

• At least 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience in seismic hazard analysis and geotechnical earthquake engineering (preferred);

• A strong willingness to learn, collaborate, and tackle challenging technical problems resourcefully (required);

• Familiarity with seismic hazard, geotechnical, and engineering software tools such as Slope/W, FLAC, Plaxis, HAZ45, RSPMatch, Deepsoil, or Strata (preferred);

• Ability to conduct fieldwork and travel as needed (required);

• Compliance with health and safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required);

• Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
