Job Summary:

Global Partners LP is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring a high level of customer service and store appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in managing store operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Directly supervise staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, and developing employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the fueling area and convenience store.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, including fuel, merchandise, and supplies.
  • Process daily accounting paperwork and transmit to the accounting office.
  • Make daily bank deposits and account for ATM and lottery funds.
  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, develop, discipline, and terminate cashier/sales associate staff.
  • Implement all company promotional initiatives and maintain a quality buying experience for all customers.
  • Control inventory variations to 1% of sales or less and cash over/short to $100 per month or less.
  • Audit cashier paperwork for accuracy and maintain image standards set forth and image surveys.
  • Report and review all environment, maintenance issues, and unusual occurrences to the proper authority and management personnel.
  • Price book maintenance, operation of security cameras, and On The Run (where applicable).
  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests, count, read, and write accurately to complete required paperwork.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and/or evening shifts, and assist other locations as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting of 1 to 15 lbs, ability to lift up to 50lbs on occasion, reaching above shoulder height, and bending below waist.
