Senior Project Accountant

At Creative Financial Staffing, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to oversee job site accounting functions, assist with reporting, and support the Division Controller in meeting financial and contract requirements.



About the Role

This is a full-time, onsite position in Mount Vernon, NY, offering a competitive salary based on experience and opportunities for professional growth and development.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manage job site accounting, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Process and review invoices, accruals, and monthly billings
  • Reconcile contract statuses and monitor back charges
  • Work with Project Managers and other teams to maintain accurate commitments and budgets
  • Setup and maintain Job Cost Master Files
  • Prepare various reports including Total Job Cost and Weekly Labor Reports
  • Assist and train job site personnel on accounting procedures and systems
  • Conduct monthly site visits to ensure compliance and provide training


Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Accounting or related field
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards (preferred)
  • Experience in construction accounting (preferred)
