We are seeking a highly skilled Obstetric Registered Nurse to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a Nurse Midwife, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in an inpatient and outpatient setting, managing women's health care services related to pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient care in an organized and effective manner, embodying the behaviors associated with the Leadership, Art and Science of Nursing.
- Communicate effectively with interprofessional health team members, patients, and families, promoting teamwork and active involvement in team meetings and department activities.
- Develop and implement patient care education plans, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Manage complex patient assignments and coordinate with the healthcare team to facilitate communication and care across the continuum.
- Contribute to meeting department targets for patient satisfaction and quality/safety initiatives.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
- Two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Certified Nurse Midwife, or four years of clinical experience in L&D or Women's Health services.
- RN-Temp - Registered Nurse - Temporary State Licensure within 60 days, APRN - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Texas Board of Nursing, AP - Prescriptive Authority - Texas Board of Nursing.
May require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area.
