Role Responsibilities

As a Parts Specialist, your key duties will include:

  • Welcoming walk-in clients, addressing customer phone inquiries, and providing products and services tailored to customer requirements.
  • Managing internal parts transfer requests efficiently.
  • Supplying Service Technicians with necessary components as needed.
  • Assisting in the setup and upkeep of merchandise displays.
  • Ensuring accurate receipting of shipments and organizing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their designated inventory locations.
  • Maintaining a tidy, organized work area and assigned warehouse spaces.
  • Overseeing the condition of departmental vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Participating in the annual physical inventory process.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with John Deere Parts or over 6 years in other parts roles, ideally in automotive or similar equipment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely, with the capability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage.
  • Fundamental math skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
  • Engagement in all job-related training and development activities.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds.

Working Environment:

  • Exposure to electrical, mechanical, and power equipment hazards.
  • Risk of contact with chemicals such as oils, antifreeze, volatile hydrocarbons, and battery acid.
  • Varied weather conditions.
  • Exposure to mists, fumes, and fluctuating noise levels.
  • Dust generated from hose saws.
