Position Overview

YOUR EXPERTISE MATTERS:

We are seeking to enhance our team at UHY by bringing on a Taxation Partner.

The Taxation Partner will be responsible for shaping and implementing policies while guiding the overall strategy of the firm in alignment with directives from the Executive Committee. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating operational functions at the highest management level, supported by subordinate executives and staff managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties encompass (but are not limited to):
  • Formulating strategic direction for the organization
  • Engaging with managing directors and the management team to address issues, coordinate efforts, and resolve challenges
  • Involvement in staff development and staffing decisions
  • Evaluating reports submitted by team members to recommend approvals or suggest modifications
  • Creating budgets, including those for funding and program implementation
  • Fostering positive client relationships and participating in marketing initiatives to cultivate new business
QUALIFICATIONS WE SEEK

Experience
  • 10+ years in a relevant leadership role
  • Judgment and Decision Making - Evaluating the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to select the most suitable option
  • Management of Financial Resources - Determining financial allocations to accomplish tasks and accounting for expenditures
  • Coordination - Modifying actions in relation to the actions of others
  • Critical Thinking - Applying logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of various solutions, conclusions, or approaches to issues
  • Negotiation - Facilitating collaboration and reconciling differences
  • Active Listening - Fully engaging with others, understanding their points, asking pertinent questions, and avoiding interruptions at inappropriate times
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
License / Certification
  • CPA License
Legal / Compliance
  • Completion of acknowledgment of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document is required
  • Government engagements necessitate the ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government
