Position Overview
The Chief Engineer at My Maritime Career plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operational integrity of our training vessel, the Freedom Star. This role encompasses the daily upkeep and technical management of the ship, ensuring it is always ready for educational voyages.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the routine maintenance and repairs of the school ship.
- Conduct monthly excursions for a duration of four days, facilitating practical training for unlicensed apprentices.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of students, fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Essential Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with a Chief Engineer license, specifically a Motor Limited 4,000 HP.
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Strong public speaking skills to effectively communicate with students and staff.
- Military experience may be considered equivalent.
