Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our expanding mobile wound care team. This role involves traveling to patient homes and skilled nursing facilities to deliver our specialized wound therapy for chronic non-healing wounds. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Patient Care Team throughout the designated service area.

Qualifications:

- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas
- Preferred certifications in Advanced Wound Care and Advanced Wound Debridement
- Master’s Degree is advantageous
- Current CPR Certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive health assessments and document medical and psychosocial histories in electronic medical records.
  • Record patient-reported symptoms accurately.
  • Conduct physical examinations focused on wound conditions.
  • Diagnose based on clinical evaluations and diagnostic tests.
  • Administer advanced wound care therapies and perform debridement as necessary.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor patient progress and treatment effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver’s license.
Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PA-C in various healthcare settings.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical practices.
  • Team-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient-focused.
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development.
Experience and Education:

  • Preferred two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • One to three years of experience in wound care is preferred.
  • Prior experience in debridement is essential.
  • Must be a proactive team player adaptable to a growing practice.
  • Exhibit compassion and thoroughness in patient care.
