Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our expanding mobile wound care team. This role involves traveling to various patient locations, including residences and skilled nursing facilities, to deliver our innovative wound therapy solutions for chronic non-healing wounds. Collaboration with our Patient Care Team is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory for this position.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must be a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas. Additional certifications in Advanced Wound Care and Advanced Wound Debridement are preferred. A Master's Degree is advantageous, along with current CPR certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive health assessments, documenting complete medical and psychosocial histories in the electronic medical record.
  • Record patient-reported symptoms accurately.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations focused on wound conditions.
  • Diagnose based on clinical evaluations and diagnostic tests.
  • Administer advanced wound care therapies, including sharp debridement and application of amniotic allografts.
  • Educate patients on health-promoting practices to prevent disease and support recovery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor patient progress to assess treatment effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies aimed at enhancing service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PA-C in various healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with health regulations and patient care standards.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical expertise.
Education and Experience:

  • Preferred two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • One to three years of experience in wound care is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in debridement is required.
  • Energetic team player with a willingness to adapt to a growing practice.
  • Compassionate approach towards patient care.
  • Ability to complete tasks with attention to detail.
