Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Colorado Retina Associates. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Job Summary:

The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, performing technical work-ups, and documenting patient information. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, communicating with patients and staff, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians with patient care and examinations
  • Perform technical work-ups, including patient interviews and diagnostic testing
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate with patients and staff regarding patient care and follow-up appointments
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college or degree preferred
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic practice and terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • COA/COT/COMT certification desired
  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) preferred
  • At least one year of experience in ophthalmic care
