Are you a skilled engineer looking for a challenging role in the maritime industry? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ship/Submarine Engineering Technician 3 to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to support C4ISR system installations on ships and submarines. As a Ship/Submarine Engineering Technician 3, you will work with a team to install and maintain complex electrical and electronic systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain C4ISR systems on ships and submarines
  • Work with a team to support cabling, equipment, and device installations
  • Read and understand U.S. Navy ship installation drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable running sheets
  • Operate all commonly used installation hand tools and test equipment
  • Demonstrate advanced speed and accuracy when performing tasks such as attaching fiber optic connectors, RJ-45 connectors, and DB type connectors
  • Dress cable installations to present a well-organized and professional appearance
  • Have superior skills in complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis assembly
  • Have superior leadership abilities
  • Work in a mission-critical environment with a focus on safety and quality
Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: Completion of a formal two-year or more contractor apprenticeship program in a related field, or completion of four (4) years of U.S. military service with a technical rating
  • At least two (2) years of experience on U.S. Navy C4ISR installations
  • Skills and Proficiency: Works with a team, reads and understands U.S. Navy ship installation drawings, operates installation hand tools and test equipment, and demonstrates advanced speed and accuracy
  • Physical Requirements: Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time, relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance, and works at various heights up to 60 feet
