Fuse LLC: Radiation Effects Engineer

Fuse is a pioneering fusion energy company on a mission to accelerate the world's transition to fusion energy. We're seeking a highly skilled Radiation Effects Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge Impedance Matched Marx Generator (IMG) technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and execute radiation tests on electrical components and systems.
  • Design and develop component test hardware/software for various radiation environments.
  • Develop radiation characterization and radiation lot acceptance test plans.
  • Analyze and interpret radiation test data.
  • Develop and execute detailed test schedules.
  • Prepare and present radiation test reports.
  • Prepare and present radiation results and meet customer demands.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field, such as nuclear engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in radiation detection and measurement techniques, such as time-of-flight measurements, particularly in the context of fusion research.
  • 2+ years' experience with software and data analysis tools used in radiation detection and measurement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel bi-costal.
Desirable Skills:

Experience working in radiation environments, radiation facilities, and dosimetry systems including prompt dose, total dose, neutron, proton, and heavy ion.
