Job Title: Veterinary Technician - Inpatient Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Inpatient Care department. As a key member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to hospitalized animals, working closely with our veterinarians and other support staff to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch patient care to hospitalized animals, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Perform standard technician duties, including patient restraint, venipuncture, and radiographs, as ordered by veterinarians.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure comprehensive patient care, responding promptly to STAT calls and following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, utilizing EzyVet and Smartflow systems.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical and financial practices, including creating estimates and discussing with owners, collecting payment, and discharging patients.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, providing compassionate care to clients and their pets.
  • Participate in department and staff meetings, contributing to the overall success and growth of the hospital.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience, preferably in an Emergency or Specialty Practice.
  • Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician or ability to become registered upon hire.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $25-$34 DOE.
  • Sign-on bonus: $1,500.
  • Relocation bonus: $1,500 (for highly qualified Registered Technicians relocating within the Parker, CO area).
