Job Title: Director of Surgical Pathology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced surgical pathologist to serve as the Director of Surgical Pathology in our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The successful candidate will have a strong background in anatomic pathology, with fellowship training in surgical pathology and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the administration/management of a surgical pathology laboratory/division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative leadership as the Director of Surgical Pathology and Section Director for the histology and surgical pathology laboratories.
  • Provide clinical subspecialty surgical pathology services.
  • Teach students and clinical teaching to residents.
  • Participate in scholarly initiatives of the Department and the College of Medicine.
Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
  • Fellowship training in surgical pathology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the administration/management of a surgical pathology laboratory/division.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity and ability to become a senior department leader.
