Job Summary

Biltmore Farms, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, wallpaper hanging, lighting repairs, electrical circuitry, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, doors and locks, furniture, carpet and flooring.
  • Complete tasks and assignments on the daily maintenance checklist.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity of our facilities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance office and storerooms.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping team to ensure common areas and vending machines are well-maintained.
  • Perform walk-through inspections with the Chief Engineer and/or General Manager.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms and water shut-offs.
  • Ensure exterior building and grounds are clean and well-maintained.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in hotel, resort, or lodging maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of heating, air conditioning, electric, and plumbing skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up on assignments in a timely manner.
  • Effective communication skills.
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, often in outdoor weather conditions. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and climb stairs is required.
