Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Generalist to join our team at Wallick Communities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance duties, including minor repairs, landscaping, and custodial tasks, to ensure our residents' needs are met and their homes are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize company-provided technology to complete work orders, including light and general maintenance tasks, such as drywall repairs, replacing burned-out bulbs, and general landscaping.
- Perform general custodial duties, such as trash pickup and removal, as needed.
- Maintain communities within the district to Company Standards.
- Interact with residents, providing a great experience at every interaction, treating residents with respect and dignity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- You have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- You have a minimum of 1 year previous maintenance or general labor experience, and a working familiarity with basic hand tools.
- You are driven to learn basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall repair, and applicable laws governing residential housing.
- You pride yourself on providing a great experience for the resident, from communication to quality and timeliness of service.
- You're an adaptable and flexible problem solver.
- You are detail-oriented with the ability to balance and organize multiple priorities.
The position requires extensive walking, stooping/bending, balancing, kneeling, squatting, and climbing. You must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have the ability to talk, see, and hear with reasonable accommodation.
Work EnvironmentThe position requires work to be performed indoors and outside. Indoor working conditions are often inside a residence within the community, a common area, or in the designated maintenance shop area. Outside work is throughout the community grounds and outdoor common areas.
