Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and sustain scalable and effective data processing workflows utilizing PySpark.
- Create high-efficiency algorithms, predictive models, and prototype solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to convert data into actionable insights.
- Produce reusable, testable, and efficient Python code.
- Enhance data retrieval processes, develop dashboards, and generate reports for business stakeholders.
- Execute data ingestion, cleansing, deduplication, and consolidation tasks.
- Utilize cloud-based big data services and architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for managing extensive datasets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define and refine data and analytics specifications.
- Ensure systems comply with business requirements and industry standards for security and privacy.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in big data technologies and PySpark updates.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Python programming.
- Extensive experience with Apache Spark and its components (Spark SQL, Streaming, MLlib, GraphX) using PySpark.
- Proven ability to write efficient, complex queries against large datasets.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles and data modeling techniques.
- Strong grasp of distributed computing concepts.
- Experience with at least one cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their big data processing offerings.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with additional big data tools such as Hadoop, Kafka, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Experience with data visualization tools and libraries.
