We are in search of a Senior Python Engineer with expertise in PySpark.

Our Mission

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Python Engineer who possesses a solid foundation in PySpark to become a vital part of our data engineering division. The ideal candidate will exhibit a comprehensive understanding of large-scale data processing, hands-on experience with Apache Spark, and a demonstrated history of proficiency in Python programming. Your role will encompass the development of scalable data processing and analytical solutions within a cloud framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, construct, and sustain scalable and effective data processing pipelines utilizing PySpark.
  • Create high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and proof-of-concept prototypes.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Develop reusable, testable, and efficient Python code.
  • Enhance data retrieval processes, and generate dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Implement data ingestion, cleansing, deduplication, and consolidation methodologies.
  • Utilize cloud-based big data services and architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for handling extensive datasets.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and refine data and analytics requirements.
  • Ensure systems comply with business needs and industry standards for security and privacy.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in big data technologies and PySpark improvements.

Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Possesses a minimum of 8 years of experience in Python development.
  • Demonstrates strong experience with Apache Spark and its components (Spark SQL, Streaming, MLlib, GraphX) using PySpark.
  • Exhibits the ability to write efficient, complex queries against large datasets.
  • Has knowledge of data warehousing principles and data modeling concepts.
  • Shows proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
  • Has experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their big data processing services.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional big data tools such as Hadoop, Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and libraries.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
