About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Director to join our team at Larson Maddox. As a key member of our procurement and supply chain team, you will be responsible for leading the negotiation, execution, and oversight of contracts that support our operations in the LNG industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead negotiations and draft agreements with external service providers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Contract Template Management: Manage and maintain standard contract templates, including Master Purchase Agreements (MPAs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Purchase Order Terms & Conditions (PO T&Cs), Professional Services Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, amendments, and waivers, etc.
  • Contractual Guidance: Provide legal and contractual guidance to the Procurement Department and other internal stakeholders.
  • Procurement Policy Implementation: Assist in implementing procurement policies to ensure legal compliance and reduce risk exposure.
  • Contractor Insurance Compliance: Work closely with Risk Management to ensure contractor insurance compliance and track coverage requirements.
  • HSE Initiatives: Support the company's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives and ensure all contractual activities align with HSE standards.
  • Contract Language Development: Develop standard alternative contract language and manage the company's portfolio of active agreements.
  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including Purchase Orders (POs), Scopes of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and related procurement documents.
  • Contract Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, ensuring efficient contract lifecycle management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts, preferably within the Oil & Gas or LNG sector.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of SAP or similar procure-to-pay systems is preferred.
