About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering department and drive innovation in mechanical systems design and development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design and development, and a proven track record of successful project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee the engineering department, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Utilize Creo CAD to design and develop complex mechanical systems.
  • Manage ancillary systems and ensure their optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Drive innovation from engineering to manufacturing, ensuring the successful implementation of new technologies and processes.
  • Manage DoD and government contracting processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
  • Conduct performance management of direct reports, providing feedback and coaching to ensure the continued growth and development of our team.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience managing an engineering department, with a track record of successful project management.
  • Proficient in Creo CAD and other relevant software and tools.
  • Experience with ancillary systems and motorsports engineering is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of DoD and government contracting processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on performance management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to innovate and think creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
