Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering department and drive innovation in mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities

1. Direct and oversee the engineering department, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
2. Utilize Creo CAD to design and develop complex mechanical systems, including ancillary systems and motorsports engineering projects.
3. Manage DoD and government contracting processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
4. Conduct performance management of direct reports, providing feedback and coaching to ensure the continued growth and development of our team.
5. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements, and incorporate these into our engineering strategies.

Requirements

1. BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
3. Proven experience managing an engineering department, with a track record of successful project management.
4. Proficient in Creo CAD and other relevant software and tools.
5. Experience with ancillary systems and motorsports engineering is a plus.
6. Strong understanding of DoD and government contracting processes.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on performance management.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to innovate and think creatively.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
