Job Summary:

As a key member of the Structure Medical team, the Process Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in all special processes, ensuring the efficient operation of these processes and supporting machine maintenance work. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical processing, equipment maintenance, and project management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or chemical engineering, with a minimum of five years of experience in a related field. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

This position involves managing new special process equipment installation projects, conducting technology research, and implementing refined processes and procedures. The Process Engineer will also be responsible for developing and implementing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting equipment issues, and leading maintenance efforts.

Additionally, this role will involve working with external suppliers, managing relationships, and negotiating contracts. The Process Engineer will also assist in mechanical and electrical machine design and assembly, as well as project management implementation of new equipment and processes.

Essential Functions:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for the following essential functions:

  • Develop and implement refined processes, procedures, and best practices for special processing equipment.
  • Develop preventative maintenance requirements for each process.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues through good problem-solving.
  • Develop a deep understanding of chemical processing for passivation, electropolishing, and final clean.
  • Lead efforts in regular maintenance service contracts.
  • Lead maintenance on troubleshooting of all special process equipment.
  • Work with and manage external suppliers.
  • Assist in mechanical and electrical machine design and assembly.
  • Project management implementation of new equipment and processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, supplemented by five or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
