Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in Waltham, MA. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients with various hematologic and oncologic diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct care to ambulatory patients, promoting a collaborative relationship between providers, nurses, and administrative staff.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of specialized healthcare for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care and efficient use of resources.
  • Participate in clinical research and education initiatives to advance knowledge and promote research-based practice.
  • Provide consultation to nurses and physicians, serving as a resource to staff in areas of expertise.
  • Participate in intra and interdepartmental committees to drive change in practice and healthcare delivery.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and identify system-wide factors contributing to undesirable outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or completion of NCCPA program.
  • Current licensure in the commonwealth of Massachusetts as a registered NP/PA.
  • 2 Years Advanced Practice experience in hematology/oncology.
  • Proficiency with Epic and telemedicine preferred.
  • Familiarity with clinical trials preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clinical information, care plans, etc. to medical and lay audiences.
  • Skilled in creating appropriate documentation and use of electronic medical records.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
