Position Overview:
The Omni Homestead is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee our overnight security operations. Our establishment prides itself on delivering exceptional service and maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Overnight Security/Loss Prevention Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols and daily routines are executed according to Omni standards. Your primary duties will include:

  • Coordinating the recruitment and termination processes for security personnel in collaboration with the Director/Assistant Director of Security.
  • Monitoring the performance of security staff to ensure compliance with departmental functions.
  • Assigning shift personnel effectively to maintain optimal coverage at all times.
  • Implementing disciplinary actions for security staff as necessary, in conjunction with leadership.
  • Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of reports submitted by security officers.
  • Fostering positive relationships with all hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Identifying and reporting any deficiencies in hotel property and safety hazards.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and compiling reports on incidents involving guests and associates.
  • Overseeing guest room surveillance in partnership with security leadership.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the key control program and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Ensuring all security equipment is well-maintained and operational.
  • Monitoring lobby and restaurant traffic to manage non-guest activities.
  • Reporting unauthorized use of hotel entrances/exits by associates.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Regularly checking the cashier vault and inspecting the exterior of the building.
  • Maintaining open communication with the Director of Security.

Work Environment:
This role involves working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures. You will also encounter various hazardous materials in the course of your duties.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Supervisory experience or extensive experience in security/loss prevention.
  • Experience in a resort environment is preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
  • Strong judgment and confidentiality skills when dealing with sensitive situations.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and workplace safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • A professional demeanor and appearance.
  • A flexible schedule to accommodate night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • The physical capability to perform job-related tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
