Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Demand Planner to estimate future demand for Outdoor Performance products, analyze inventory flow, and build forecasting models. The successful candidate will ensure we can continue to supply consumers based on future demand for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate future demand for Outdoor Performance products and analyze inventory flow to build forecasting models.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather input and develop consensus-driven forecasts.
  • Manage sku-level forecasting by forecast group-location.
  • Establish inventory policies for assigned sku's and achieve on-hand inventory goals through parameter settings and push/pull of inventory replenishment.
  • Contribute to the performance of outdoor sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.
  • Manage product life cycle, including beginning of life-end of life planning.
  • Analyze and consolidate large volumes of data, develop a fact-based point of view, and communicate to management via presentations and reports.
  • Facilitate monthly inventory/replenishment reviews with buying staff to communicate trends and assumptions.
  • Develop and maintain weekly sku-level demand signals for new, active, discontinued products by utilizing statistical forecasting models.
  • Identify key opportunities and obstacles inherent to the forecasting process and assist management in continuous improvement of the process.
  • Support long-range factory capacity planning processes by maintaining unit forecasts for 12-18 future months.
  • Responsible for End-of-Life sku planning, utilizing Life Cycle Planning and communication to liquidate and achieve set budget targets.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Demand Planner or a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
