Job Title: Demand Planner

Job Summary:

Vista Outdoor is seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join our Outdoor Performance Demand Planning team. As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for estimating future demand for Outdoor Performance products and analyzing inventory flow to build forecasting models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate future demand for Outdoor Performance products
  • Analyze inventory flow to build forecasting models
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather input for forecasting
  • Manage sku level forecasting by forecast group-location
  • Establish inventory policies for assigned sku's
  • Responsible for achieving on-hand inventory goals through parameter settings and push/pull of inventory replenishment
  • Contribute to the performance of outdoor sales and operations planning (S&OP) process
  • Manage product life cycle from beginning to end
  • Plan exit strategies and transition plans for excess inventory
  • Analyze and consolidate large volumes of data to develop a fact-based point of view
  • Communicate findings to management via presentations and reports

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Demand Planner or a similar role
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
