Job Summary

Verizon is seeking a skilled Senior RF Engineer Network Optimization to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF network design and optimization, with a focus on improving network performance and capacity.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and planning the Radio Frequency Network for Verizon LTE and 5G, including RF analysis, search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals. You will also work on redesigning mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR, while collaborating with other areas of the network to ensure performance fixes/initiatives are in place.

Additionally, you will use internal tools such as FUZE and ATOLL to process regulatory compliance, and perform Macro/Small Cell Design/In Building design, including antenna selection and placement, utilizing knowledge of 5G, LTE, CDMA 1x, EVDO, and microwave. You will also work on new cell sites, ensuring they are properly integrated into the network and optimized for peak performance.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience, with a strong background in electrical engineering or computer science. You will also need to have four or more years of relevant work experience, with a willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and a valid driver's license. Ideal candidates will have five or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization, solid knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as LTE/VoLTE Technology.
