As a Senior RF Engineer at DISH Wireless, you will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for designing, optimizing, and deploying the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US. Your primary focus will be on RF design activities, including end-to-end RF design, propagation modeling, and prediction for Macro Cell deployment. You will work closely with eNB/RAN and UE teams to develop RF solutions, including modifications to RF link budgets on a per-site level to meet operational requirements.

Key responsibilities include site candidate evaluation and selection, as well as site walks. You will collaborate with RF Management to establish design criteria, link budgets, and traffic analysis as needed for network design and updates to existing performance parameters for ongoing improvements.

To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field and at least 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as an RF engineer. You should have 3 years of LTE RF Design experience and 5 years of wireless experience in Design/Optimization or Operations roles, including RF support of Site Acquisition and site Construction teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

* 4G/5G and NR theory and practical experience
* Macro and small cell nominal and final RF designs, including development, operations, RF KPIs, and maintenance of RF link budgets for 3GPP technologies
* Setting up, calibration, utilization, and data processing of various LTE design and optimization equipment and software
* Propagation/planning tools (like Planet or Atoll) and experience with model calibrations
* Drive test data post-processing, map generation, frequency planning, and interference matrix analysis and site database maintenance, using Windcatcher or Actix or Accuver
* Equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators and experience performing inter-modulation and other external interference analysis
