Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Project Liaison, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the construction efforts of general contractors and/or subcontractors.
  • Assist management in processing documentation for stormwater initiatives to facilitate construction activities (including Sand Filters, Micro Bio Retention Facilities, Pond Retrofits, Stream Restoration, etc.).
  • Communicate and document all modifications in scope to the Resident Engineer (RE) or Project Manager, particularly those affecting cost, quality, schedule, and safety.
  • Exercise judgment in assessing installed standard construction features to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Provide insights for updating project timelines, payment requests, progress reports, and budget reports.
  • Conduct field coordination, documentation, cost monitoring, bidding, and scheduling for projects.
  • Receive, issue, and track Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and other necessary data for the RE.
  • Perform additional duties, including on-site safety inspections, document management, verifying project timelines, and monitoring daily logs and status reports as required.
  • Act as a liaison between design engineers and construction personnel when necessary.
  • Assist with procurement as needed.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with construction-related codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction software.
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic proficiency with Prolog.
  • Experience with stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs), stream restoration, and land redevelopment.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
