Overview

The Role and Team

We are seeking a dedicated Food Runner to join our 'Meals' team, responsible for ensuring that production lines are consistently stocked with necessary materials to prevent any interruptions. Each Runner plays a crucial role in supplying their designated line, which typically produces a significant volume of meals during each shift. Upon completion of a production run, the Runner will collaborate with the team during the line changeover process. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain performance levels throughout their shift and be capable of frequent manual handling and material transportation. Additionally, you may be required to change films and labels in the absence of the team leader, and assist on the production line as needed.

This role is highly physical and involves substantial manual handling of materials from the Kanban system to the workstations.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the production line is supplied with the correct materials to prevent downtime.
  • Assist with changeovers to minimize line interruptions.
  • Follow established work instructions diligently.
  • Operate the depositor as required.
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to safe working practices and assisting with risk assessments as necessary. Report any incidents or hazards to your line manager.
  • Maintain quality standards by notifying the line supervisor of any potential issues with materials or processes, ensuring products meet specifications.
  • Adhere to hygiene protocols, maintaining cleanliness and preventing cross-contamination during product changeovers.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in meeting set standards and KPIs.
  • Proficient in English and Mathematics.
  • Background in a production environment.
  • Completion of Level 2 Food Safety training with a passing grade.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in food safety or possession of a Level 2 food safety certificate.
