CENA Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CENA) to provide direct care to our residents and assist them with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Provide basic medical care, such as taking vital signs and administering medication under the supervision of a nurse
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transferring techniques
  • Document care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the nurse
  • Assist with meal service and feeding residents as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Michigan
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
