Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of District Nurse Supervisor at MultiCare Health System. This position is responsible for providing overall clinical supervision and management of nursing staff in the Operating Room (OR) department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance on OR nursing functions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Orient new employees to the policies and procedures of the facility and perform evaluations for all surgery center staff.
  • Manage facility policies and procedures by monitoring CDC, AORN, WISHA, OSHA, and ANA policies and updating the facility practices and policies to reflect current recommendations.
  • Assure successful CMA and DOH inspections of the facility by maintaining files, records, and standards relevant to the inspections.
  • Manage equipment and supplies for the facility and ensure environmental safety and integrity.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and MCHS administration to ensure a high standard of care, safety, and success of the facility.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Washington.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the OR department, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, mid-level providers, and staff.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
