Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Nursing Service Administration team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of our medical center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume medical center operational accountability for a specified shift, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient operations.
  • Supervise and manage human resources, operational management, and quality patient care management throughout the medical center.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote staff productivity, positive staff morale, and staff engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, medTRACK, and activity status boards to ensure optimal patient throughput and safe and effective patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with charge nurses, ancillary department supervisors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve patient flow.
  • Authorize overtime and ensure adequate allocation of staff throughout the nursing department and ancillary departments.
  • Provide regular updates to the Assistant Vice President for Operations on emergent or unusual events, trends, problems perceived, and suggestions for problem resolution and/or improvement.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Proven experience in nursing leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
