Job Title: Early Intervention Specialist

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Early Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Early Childhood Services team, you will provide critical support to families with young children who require developmental services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct EI screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify developmental delays or at-risk children.
  • Develop and implement individualized family service plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and the EI team.
  • Provide direct child and family support, including case management and education on child development and parenting.
  • Collaborate with medical, state, and health providers to coordinate intervention services.
  • Assist in developing transition plans for child and family clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology).
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) preferred.
  • Experience in infancy/early childhood and special education preferred.
  • Early Intervention certification with the Department of Public Health (DPH) required.
