  • Identify emerging trends in social media manipulation and misinformation.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple investigative assignments and other responsibilities.
  • Engage in client meetings and present findings.
  • Assist in disinformation training initiatives led by Senior Analysts.
  • Contribute to publicly accessible research to disseminate new trends to the broader research community and the public.
  • Support customer success and sales teams in crafting materials for outreach or client-facing presentations.
Qualifications:
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience (e.g., research, analysis, investigation).
  • Extensive regional knowledge in South Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, or Southeast Asia, with a preference for candidates fluent in an Indian language, Persian, Indonesian, or Portuguese.
  • Willingness to become a subject matter expert in specialized research domains.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research, particularly in analyzing social media data.
  • A comprehensive understanding of one or more of the following areas: social media research, government and politics, misinformation, information operations, violent extremism, quantitative analysis, computer science, or cybersecurity.
  • Proficient in verbally presenting and writing about complex and varied findings.
  • Able to think strategically, grasp the broader context, and act independently when necessary, aligning with team objectives and organizational goals.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment that encourages regular iteration and enhancement of existing products and processes.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications (Not mandatory):
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social science, computer science, intelligence studies).
  • Prior experience in analyzing social media data.
  • Familiarity with the misinformation landscape through academic research, training, or prior professional experience.
Note: This role may involve exposure to sensitive or challenging content, including but not limited to explicit language and violent threats.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary and stock options are determined based on experience.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage, including dental and vision, fully funded by the employer, with 50% dependent coverage provided.
  • Unlimited vacation and sick leave, including office closures during specific holidays.
  • Employer-sponsored 401k with a 3% match.
  • Hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence a few days per week.
