Role Responsibilities
The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring that customer inquiries and needs are addressed promptly and professionally. This position serves as a vital point of contact for our customers, aiming to streamline their ordering and shipping experiences. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing customer orders received through various channels and entering them into our ERP system.
- Communicating with clients regarding order status, potential shortages, and pricing adjustments.
- Updating the ERP system with pricing changes and maintaining accurate pricing records.
- Managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately.
- Providing freight quotes based on customer requests and overseeing the shipping process.
- Issuing invoices post-shipment and processing payments in accordance with customer agreements.
- Assisting the sales team with inquiries related to samples, order statuses, and inventory levels.
- Documenting customer complaints for internal review and responding to customers with relevant information.
- Organizing and filing order documentation in designated locations.
- Performing additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in the MS Office Suite.
- Strong data entry capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Prior experience in customer service.
- A proven track record of problem-solving.
- A collaborative mindset and adaptability to change.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated reliability in previous employment.
